ASTON VILLA vs EVERTON - FULL TIME

Within 15 minutes, Everton was a goal down with Villa's John Carew being the scorer. It came about with a weak clearances by Yobo and Baines, and the goal was conceded. Painful. The midfield has not been able to control the game and without their creative spark in Arteta, they are just a hardworking team without much vision.

The crosses are flying everywhere except to the Everton's strikers. The players were also not able to get the ball past the tall Villa defenders. No penetration whatsoever. Everton's players were also dragged all over the place by the precise passing of Villa. The midfield looked jittery and they team was losing the ball too easily.

Nothing changed in the second half except the score. From a long pass, Agbonlahor controlled the ball and tucked it nicely under Everton's stand-in keeper Wessels.

The Toffees are really going down the table. Oh boy.

Score: Aston Villa 2-0 Everton
Scorer: Nil
Assist: What do you expect?
