Everton 1-0 Stoke - FULL TIME
Goodison Park is buzzing once again as the club starts to rake up wins. It's great to see Pienaar and Arteta back in the squad. What's even more heartwarming is that Rodwell is back in the squad though it is only on the bench.
Everton are not getting to the headers and are losing out the 50-50s for the first 10 minutes.
What a run by Yak in the 14th minute on the left channel. Yak overlapped the opposition and placed a strike towards goal. A weak one though.
Now, Everton's passing the ball all over the place except to the feet of the players.
In the 24th minute, a pass from Arteta saw Yak flicked the the ball into the path of Pienaar whose strike was stopped by the opposing goalkeeper. Everton's started to get desperate as Timmy had to put in a long shot rather than using his header. The end result is a sky-high ball.
Everton has been playing into Stoke's hands. It's just a dull game on a dull day. The teams head to the dressing rooms with a 0-0 scoreline.
In the 2nd half, Everton kick-off.
Coleman made a jinking run through the opposing defence before dispatching a shot. Caught by the oposing goalie.
So close! Bainesy pulls the ball back, and made a lovely pass to Arteta just outside the penalty area, only to be cleared by kamikaze-diving players. It's a messy game with tugging of shirts in the penalty box, and even a disallowed goal.
Moyes is going for 4-4-2 with Saha coming in for Coleman in the 61st minute.
Yak scores his first goal of the season!!! That's why we need him! Timmy's strike saw the ball rebound off the post only as far as to Yak. The striker shimmied, move the ball coolly to the left and with one thunderous strike, nearly tore the roof of the net! Everton 1-0 Stoke. Assist: Timmy.
Second substitution - Bily for Yak in the 85th minute.
Super hard-fought Everton win. We are moving up!
Score: Everton 1-0 Stoke
Scorer: Yak

Subs: Saha, Bily
