Everton: Win Against Swansea Primes Everton for Tuesday Victory

Everton is back to winning ways and all fans are looking forward to Tuesday's 2nd leg game against Sunderland! We can do it!

Everton's away game against Swansea might prove to be a tricky one with the Swans winning their last three matches. Moyes has an eye on the Cup game and has rested Drenthe, Felli and Heitinga. In comes Jag while Neville and Gibson were placed in the centre of midfield. Ossie and Pienaar were tasked to operate the flanks.

Even though Swansea was nly promoted to the Premier League this season, they showed that they can still mix it with the big boys. They have patiently been building up the momentum. Swansea has also been holding the ball well.

If Ossie is playing on the right, he needs to do the crossing, not Hibbo. Seemed like the defender has been crossing one too many balls, and none too effectively.

The start of the second half saw Swansea defender's clearance blocked by Bainesy. The ball kindly arrived at Jelavic's feet but was quickly dispossessed by the last defender.

Gibson nearly put Everton in the lead with a thunderbolt of a shot. The goalkeeper was equal to the shot. Magnificant save. It reached Jelavic who juggled the ball before dispatching a bicycle kick. Saved.

Moyes brought in his first change in the 57th minute. Felli for Cahill.

Bainesy took the ball from the left and ran at the defence. The only way Swansea could stop him was to body check him. Free kick.Straight from that, Bainesy took a few steps and curled a beauty of the ball into the net! What a lovely free kick! Swansea 0-1 Everton.

Everton had a sweet opportunity. Pienaar and Jelavic were doing a two-on-three. Pienaar sliced the defence with his precise passing, only for Jelavic to miss the goal.

Jelavic made amends one minute later. Felli's upper body strength saw him wriggle past two defenders before putting in a low cross that Jelavic could hardly miss! Swansea 0-2 Everton. Felli assist.

Strac and Heitinga replaced Jelavic and Gibson. Standing ovation for the two lads!

The tireless striker nearly made an explosive start. Pienaar made a smart run down the left flank. He cuts back the ball, holding it so that Strac could get back onside, before passing the ball to the striker. Strac took a shot, only to be save by the goalkeeper.

Strac had another good chance. A flick, a turn, a strike. It was on target, only for the goalkeeper to block the shot.

Score: Swansea 0-2 Everton
Scorers: Bainesy, Jelavic
Assist: Felli
Subs: Felli, Strac, Heitinga
