Evertons Draws A Point At Anfield

Liverpool 2-2 Everton

Everton's statistics against Liverpool reads - win one, draw one. That's good enough for me.

When you have Timmy out over in Asia, you would expect Saha to lead the line as before. But He is not even on the bench. Why? Leading the line were Anichebe and Beckford. I really hope that Moyes has not done himself in by cashing in on Yak. Now, we do not have an establised striker.

In quick succession, Coleman in from the centre but his short was off target, while Becks saw himself moving forward after a mis-pass by a pool player, but he tried to lob the ball, off target as well.

The pace of pool's right winger is scary! He ghosted past Ossie then sprinted away from Bainesy. Electrifying pace!

So, so close. Everton nearly went one down in the 17th minute. Hit the post! Really, Arteta needs to make himself 'big' - Play his influential game.

Liverpool 1-0 Everton in the 31st minute. How is Everton going to come back with a one goal deficit, and with the game being an Anfield is anyone's guess.

Half time. Looking at the last 45 minutes, Everton had not even had a decent strike on target.

Oh my, oh my!!! Distin of all people scored for Everton!!!! His first goal for Everton. All within the first minute of the second half! Liverpool 1-1 Everton. Game on! Assist: Arteta.

Everton is in ascendency. They need to make it count. And they did in the 51st minute!!!!!!!! Becks scored a curler of a shot with a beautiful through pass from Ossie. Liverpool 1-2 Everton. Ossie assist. It started from Anichebe's strong header that totally wiped out his defender.

Penalty for Pool. Liverpool 2-2 Everton. Howard was adjudged to have foul their player in the box.

Vaughany replaced Becks in the 72nd minute. Let's hope the former don't get sent off once again. He's prone of doing that with his very rough play. Rodwell is in for Ossie in the 77th minute. Moyes looked set to try to keep that one point. Final substitution, Bily comes in for Anichebe in the 81st minute.

No matter. A vital one point taken off Liverpool.

Score: Liverpool 2-2 Everton
Scorers: Distin, Becks
Assists: Arteta, Ossie
Subs: Vaughany, Rodwell, Bily
