Everton: Two points dropped

This is one game that Everton needs to win but didn't. Two points lost.

Moyes started with Magaye while Bily was left on the bench. Neville comes in for Rodwell in defensive midfield.

Everton dominated the first 25 minutes and you just hope that it would not end up with a score such as the Toffees last match against Arsenal. They need to score to sooth some nerves. So far, the Norwich defence have held well.

So in the 28th minute, the prophesy came true. Heitinga marked the striker so tightly and yet the Norwich striker was able to squeeze the ball into the net. Everton 0-1 Norwich. We control much of the match but don't look dangerous upfront adnd everyone knows that you that if you don't score, you don't win.

Everton starts the 2nd half unchanged but looked totally deflated. Moyes then brings in the second striker in Strac for only so what must have been a rare 4-4-2. The manager just does not like to play two up.

In the 70th minute, Moyes made another change. Drenthe in for Magaye and he delivers.

Drenthe time and time again, ran at the Norwich defence and in the 81st minute, Drenthe made another run at the defence and nobody made any effort to stop him. He released a stinging shot and Ossie came in from the blind side to deflect the ball past the keeper. Everton 1-1 Norwich. Drenthe assist.

What a strike by Drenthe in the 86th minute! Fierce shot the deflected off former Everton goalkeeper Ruddy. Drenthe is really taking it against Norwich on his own!

The substitutes truly made a difference to the team. But still, it's not good enough for Everton.

Final change - McAleny for Saha in the 87th minute. The score still remains in parity.

Score: Everton 1-1 Norwich
Scorer: Ossie
Assist: Drenthe
Subs: Drenthe, Strac, McAleny
