Euro 2008 Qualifiers

All four of Everton's players who were in their various squads played their part in their country's game.

Faddie gave an accomplished display once again and confidence for him is sky high as he scored his third consecutive goal for Scotland, bringing them nearer to their dream qualification. It only bodes well for Everton as Faddie continues on his rich scoring veins.

Lescott and Neville came on in the second half for England. Lescott earned his first England cap as he took over the central defending duty from one Man United defender. He looked a little shaky and because of a ball that he failed to clear, it forced one Chelsea player to make a hasty clearance which caused him to twist his ankles and was substituted by Neville. Lescott was then switched to left back while Neville operated on the right. Neville was definitely the more seasoned of the two and was doing a number of overlaps and providing good cover for the team.

Cars was also involved in the Irish match against Germany wihch ended in a goalless draw.

Eventually, what is most important is that all players return to Goodison without injuries.
